Substitute Opportunities

Teacher subs are certified staff for when our teachers are not available to be in the classroom. All substitute teachers must have Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license. Teacher subs are paid in half or full day increments at $146/per day (effective 7/1/24).  Sub Teachers can take long term assignments for an extended leave of a teacher.  

Substitute Teacher License

To obtain a license, applicants must have either of an associate's or bachelor's degree. In addition, applicants must have completed a substitute teacher training program. The district recommends www.stedi.org online option. Paraprofessional subs are non-certified instructional staff who assist in the classroom under the guidance of a teacher. Hours range from 3 - 7.5 per day as needed. Hourly wage is $15.66/hour (effective 7/1/24).  

Qualifications: A minimum of two years post high school education, or an associate degree preferred.  If two years post education is not achieved, applicant must take and pass the WorkKeys Assessment prior to subbing.

Custodian subs work part and full-time within all of the schools in the the district as needed. Sub Custodians are typically 2nd shift during school year and 1st shift during summer.  Hourly wage is $17.49/hour (effective 7/1/24). Apply online to learn more about this role. 

The School Nutrition department is in need of part-time cooks to work within all schools. Typically shorter shifts, 3 to 6 hours during the middle of the school day/school year.  Hourly wage is $15.14 hour (effective 7/1/24).
