Referendum Support
The city of Onalaska has supported various referendums for the School District of Onalaska over the past two decades, including operational referendums dating back to February 2006 - helping keep the district, and its schools, staff, and programming, financially stable. Most recently, during the 2022 general election, taxpayers supported a $75 million referendum that allowed the district to make major renovations to Onalaska High School, as well as major renovations and additions to Onalaska Middle School. These projects, set to be finished in fall 2025, will bring our facilities to a state-of-the-art status to coincide with our high achieving academic programming.
Philanthropic Support
Every year, the School District of Onalaska is fortunate to receive support from the surrounding community. Whether it be for academic programming, staffing, or even classroom supplies - there is no shortage of support offered. Highlights include:
- Dahl Subaru donation of $15,000 to Northern Hills Elementary for classroom supplies and other school needs.
- Burlington, Inc. donation of $5,000 to Irving Pertzsch Elementary for teacher needs.
- Eagle Bluff Elementary 'Walk & Roll' fundraising event that raised $26,000 in 2024 for specific school needs.
