Speech-Language Resources

The School District of Onalaska Speech-Language Pathologists are excited to share helpful speech and language resources designed for families. These tools offer simple, practical ways to support your child’s communication skills at home and extend the progress they’re making at school.

One of the most important parts of speech and language development is generalization - using skills in a variety of real-life settings. Home is the perfect place for children to practice what they are learning: during conversations at the dinner table, while reading together, or even in everyday routines like cooking, playing games, or running errands.

By encouraging and modeling communication in daily interactions, you are giving your child the chance to grow their skills and maintain the progress they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

We are grateful for your continued engagement and partnership. Together, we can provide consistent opportunities for children to strengthen their communication abilities and succeed across all environments.

Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s communication journey!

Warmly,
The Speech-Language Pathologists of the School District of Onalaska
